The Work:

Many Hands Equine Bodywork utilizes a variety of research based modalities to create an individualized bodywork plan for every horse, every work.

Trained and certified in: Myofascial release, positional joint release (not chiropractic), massage and acupressure I strive to maximize balance and fluidity of movement in your horse.

I work on both the soft tissue and joints on every horse. Every horse gets addressed through its entire body even if there is a single perceived site of imbalance, as the entire body is connected.  The work is most often utilized to improve the performance and balance of a sound horse.

I am not a Veterinarian and do not do a Veterinary assessment or treatment. You should consult your Veterinarian before choosing any therapy.

The Person:

Tamara Yates is first and foremost a Horsewoman. She has ridden, trained and shown horses for over 50 years. She started riding hunters and jumpers and then transitioned into Dressage in her forties. After showing through 4th level she moved to Northern California and discovered reining horses!   Shortly thereafter she began working cattle and showed Bridle Horses in the NRCHA. Most recently she went back into the reining pen and received 2 WCRHA Year End Championships and 3 Reserve Championships.

Her bodywork training is extensive. She began by getting certified with Jim Masterson and then became his Director of Certification for the first three years of the program. She was his first certified instructor to teach for him both Nationally and Internationally.  Realizing that there were more tools needed for her to better serve her clients she went to the Vluggen Institute in Texas to learn about Equine Osteopathy. After spending two years in that program, learning the neurological base for her bodywork she decided to pursue certification in Acupressure with Diana Thompson. She has also been certified as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist and as a Myo Fascial Release practitioner. She currently teaches Equine Bodywork classes for practitioners as well as a weekend course for horse owners.
